Thank you for watching! And thank you for all your comments, I love making videos for you all!
If you’re new to Actualol, my name is Jon Purkis. My two passions are writing comedy and playing board games, so I decided to combine the two in this YouTube channel.
I make all my videos on my own, in my flat in London, UK, with the help of a diverse selection of wigs.

Brilliant. Thanks heaps!
Number 1: Tabletop Simulator.
thanks for this video. please make more videos like this.
@craig you need to check this out!
Tabletop Simulator is LIGHT YEARS BETTER than Tabletopia…
Great video! Thanks. We've been looking at trying remote games to replace the extended family game nights we are unable to do at the moment. Zoom with a floating camera is okay. But, can be complicated by games of chance (e.g. most card games). Catan works okay with some rule modifications. Looking forward to trying out some of your suggestions.
Stockpiler looks exactly like the classic boardgame Flutter. Are they not the same game?
Great video! Thanks you for the ideas for games
Love this great video, great games.
There never or rarely any open games on site. No ones on there …
Loved the video! It's concise and well informed!!
Excellent video, found a few games I am definitely going to be trying! Would also like to suggest Iwari, it is a great majority control game that is easy to play in tabletopia with turns taking around a minute each and plays up to 5!
We have been using Tabletopia and video chats in my gaming group as well. Please make more of these lists for premium content.
Yeah not my type of games. They sound super boring. I'll give Santorini a chance.
This is exactly what I was looking for and so much better than what i had hoped for. Thank you so much!
Since you already went through them… are there any good co op games on tabletopia that you would recommend? (maybe an idea for your next video?)
Hey Actualol, I just wanted to say that on your recommendation my friends and I tried Stockpile on Tabletopia, but the interface has some frustrating issues. Cards were disappearing every round and could not be recovered, and apparently that's a common issue? Had that never happened to you? I hope it's fixed, because otherwise it was a fun experience, but we had to quit early because cards kept disappearing.
Boardgame Arena is a lot better. Tabletopia feels like playing with chopsticks.
Use tabletop simulator instead
Wow, treating liberals as if they are the only good guys. Or are they equating every other non-liberal group as fascist? Pretty sure I know their leaning.
We've been playing Railways of Nippon with my friends since the lockdown and its been great!
So can you play these with strangers online? None of my friends like board games 😩
good showing off Tabletopia, but I think there are some other games, and these ones.. not my style. I'm trying "Call to Adventure" right now with them. Great game, but some glitches. I do like this better then Tabletop simulator as it cleaner.
Absolutely great video. Thank you
Great man! thanks!
This is brilliant! I didnt even know that there was an online board gaming site… which is something that may bring my mental functions into question cuz How could there not be in this day and age? Thanks for this. Been a fan for a long time. Thanks for all your videos!
Good job, I haven't played a board game in donkeys years.
Great video! Really useful
"If you were clever enough to plan for this apocalypse by having two children 16 years ago…." ha ha ha!!!! Brilliant!!
This was fantastic!!! Thank you so much for making this. I’ve already shared with my board game friends (local, and those in other states).
Jon, a well-informed review of Tabletopia and some games you like on their platform. Thank You. In this COVDI-19 era, my board gaming friends have gravitated to cross-platform, online, board games like Terraforming Mars, Scythe Digital Edition, and Twilight Struggle. I'm a fan and owner of Burgle Bros and was glad you particularly liked it on Tabletopia. Stay Safe, Stay Loved, Save NHS. All my best, Jon.
Just get Tabletop Simulator.. skip the nonsense and this paid ad
Everdell is also quite good and the rules are relatively simple.
So how do you do it in secret hitler so the fascist know each lther?
This is nice! I still prefer real life board games, although I could not play for some days because I lost my dice somewhere. Furtonately I found this nice app: Alt Dice https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yaquiero.altdice
I like Maximum Apocalypse. It really captures the feeling of scrounging for the supplies you need, trying to keep yourself and your teammates from going hungry while battling monsters and treacherous terrain.
Plus while some games in this genre might just go with zombies and call it a day, this one has playable scenarios for a number of Apocalypses, like an alien invasion or a robot uprising.
Good content, thanks. Pity it was infected with 68 not funny covid jokes. Every other sentence is a bit much IMO.
Can you do a top premium games, besides the three listed here, please?
This is a great video, really helpful in these strange times. Also I like your asides – nice work!
You should check out Don't Let It Die on Tabletopia for a great 1-4 player, prehistoric, coop survival game!
https://tabletopia.com/games/don-t-let-it-die
can any of them have a bunch of players?
when creating cards and other items, how do you upload images from your own photo album?
8:15 Ouch, as a Greek living in Germany……that hurt!
This is stupid. You can't play board games on-line. You don't feel that power when you see fear in eyes of oponent. Board games on-line are like bored-games. Stupid, stupid, stupid…
Your enthusisam is quite contagious. Thanks a lot for this very informative video. Much appreciated.
Argh is not a solo game then.
KSGBA KL
Tabletopia is basicly the poor mans tabletop simulator
Stockpile- However Wall-street plays the game.
Just got into playing digital board games. We have a bunch of board games at home and I'm trying to extend my player reach. This video was super helpful!
Watching this video in May 2021 is a trip…… I cannot believe we were joking about covid like this last year 💀💀anyway, great video thanks lol
